Perfection Can Come at a Cost - 3 Proven Ways to Get Your Product Out There Faster Than a Usain Bolt

Are you an individual that constantly frets about perfection and doing things perfectly before releasing a new product or project? I'm going to share 3 effective methods to get your product out into the market!

No matter what project I was working on, it had to be entirely, completely perfect before I felt confident sharing it with the world. Unfortunately, this tendency results in far more projects failing to be completed and goals never fully being reached.

Because I was so rarely pleased with the end results of a product, these projects typically were left unfinished.

There were so many missed chances and huge opportunities I could have capitalized on, if I had only been willing to take a chance. However, as always hindsight is 20/20, I have overcome this problem.

I made the choice to do something about my overwhelming perfectionist tendencies, and if you find yourself suffering from a similar problem, consider attempting these three concepts in your life.

Try to let yourself go completely.

o No matter what project you are working on, you must learn to ease up on yourself and not critique yourself as hard. It doesn't matter if you are writing a new book, constructing a website, or even establishing your own business - move your project to a stage where you can release it and get its name out there.

o You need to let your product adapt a life all its own, and this can only be done by publicly making your product known in the world. First, although you may be absolutely terrified of dealing with your fear of failure, you are not running away.

o You must simply release your project and allow others to give their opinions, By doing this it will help you improve your initial model into something that consumers want and demand. Feedback is what drives innovation and improvements, and until you have this, you are only basing your project on your own opinions and viewpoint, which are not only bias and emotional, but likely incorrect.

When your product is actually out there, Others can give you proper feedback without being subjected to emotional bias and their feedback can truly provide a much needed breath of fresh air into your project.

From this point, you can now begin to strive for perfection. It is only after your project has been critically examined by others, revealing flaws and shortcomings that you can improve your idea to its final, perfect stage that you intended in the first place.

Try this 3 step strategy the next time you find yourself boxed in by your own perfectionist tendencies. Likely, you will find that everyone's definition of perfection is actually very different from yours.
